V & A Hanovarian 8" x 8" paper stack

Last week at our card making class, my lovely friend Anitta gave me a sheet of this paper.  I fell in love with these papers and I have been searching ever since to see if I could find a pack to buy.  Unfortunately they are nowhere to be seen.  I am really disappointed they are just 'my thing' .  So if anyone out there knows the whereabouts pleeeease let me know.  I think they are 2010/2011 so not sure if it is at all possible now.  They should re release them if not!

So together with the beautiful ribbon I won in the raffle (last week again, donated by another lovely friend, Jacky), plus one of my fav stamps Sarah Kay - Precious Moments, here is today's offering.

This is Precious Moments, I made a mistake in my last but one blog,  regarding a stamp, I will go back in and edit that later.

Card Making With The Girlies

Today we met up and had a play with the Sarah Kay stamps.

We were making a 'Magic Card'.

Gosh what a lot of concentration!

Measuring, cutting at this point not a lot of chatting.   Too busy getting it right.

Still hard at it!

Julia was the first to finish.

Anitta's card.

Beautiful backing papers.

Fanny's Cuddle stamp.

No time to colour or embellish.

Also Fanny's Cuddle.

Love that sparkly paper!

Rosemary's Card

More fabulous backing papers.

Anitta's on the left,  Sue's on the right.

Fanny's Cuddle.

Well I have to say they all look brilliant, well done girlies!

Some got away - camera shy I think.

Just found a close up of Julia's.

This one is 'Time for apple pie'

Just love that bonnet!

Jacky where was your card?  How did you manage to escape ?

All for today, back again soon.

All from me for today, going to make a coffee, hope it warms me up!  Can you believe this is nearly the middle of June, almost the longest day, sorry if that is depressing ... summer will be here soon, hopefully.

Hope Sofia cheered you up, she is so sweet.

Sarah Kay - Fanny's Cuddle

What a wet horrible day!  Time to share a card, no gardening today.  Totally soaked when taking Daisy for a walk, not at all nice out there.

Recipe for Fanny's Cuddle:

Stamp - Sarah Kay, Fanny's Cuddle.

Coloured - Promarkers and prisma color pencils

Papers - Pion Design

Border Punch - Fiskars

Flowers  - Made own using flower punches from paper scraps

Butterflies -  X Cut butterfly punch from paper scraps

Leaves - Marianne die

Card -  6" x 6" scalloped  Craft UK

Added a sentiment to finish  'Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present'

Zooming in on Fanny!

Trying  another close up on Fanny

A better photo? without sentiment.

The edges of the card, flowers and  butterflies have all been chalked with cream chalks to give it an aged look, not sure if I like it at all?

Well since I have been playing around on here, the rain has eased off, it doesn't look any brighter though.
Time for a coffee, then back to finish a 'magic card'  I have been making  .... I hope to put on here by Saturday.  Hope you come back to have a peep.  Thank you for stopping by.

Wee Spring Bringer

Wee Stamp Spring Bringer Fairy
Today I am sharing a birthday card I have made for a friend who has a ‘special’ birthday just around the corner, no numbers disclosed..   She is not a crafter but a keen gardener so posting this one will not spoil the surprise for her.
I love the garden too; it has just been too much to be out there in this heat!  That is my excuse anyway for sitting in card making instead.
I have a few to be getting on with … babies on the way so pinks and blues are the order of the day!
Back to Spring Bringer ….
I decided to go pastel and tried using the skin tones for her clothes.  I distressed the outside of the die with cream chalks to soften the edges.  I also used a corner punch to round off the edges
.
